Egret

On my weekly hunt for the perfect egret shot, I miss this one by seconds as it takes flight. I had just given up having missed an earlier opportunity, which only goes to show you should never give up. Still it makes a nice abstract photo.

Walking to the shops this morning the dark turbulent clouds of typhoon Fitow hung overhead. I wondered whether to continue as the wind strengthened and drops of rain began to fall. In the end I chose to carry on and by the time I returned there was mainly blue sky and no sign of typhoon Fitow.
