Inside an indoor market in Yuanlin after the mad rush, but even here there is no escaping scooters.

Yuanlin has its fair share of hyper and supermarkets as well as a B&Q store, but the most interesting place to go has to be the market area. This consists of one main street at least 1-km long with various side-street markets leading off it. This indoor market is just a small part of the whole complex and you could spend all morning just working your way through what's on offer here.
