Central Taiwan (part 1)
The Old England Hotel perched high on a mountainside in Ren-ai township has unusual architecture for Taiwan, offering a mix of English and German styles. In fact it would not look out of place in the Scottish highlands.
Chingjing farm
Sheep gather around a small truck bringing hay. This sheep farm-park (Chingjing farm) in Ren-ai township is the place to go for goat/sheep milk tablets or for hill walking. More info can be found at http://ymm.okgo.tw
Meanwhile other sheep find their own food.
A pool of water beside a mountain road. Central Taiwan is very mountainous and some roads can reach a height of 3000m with many hairpin bends and sheer drops of 1000m or more. The thin air and spectacular scenery makes it breathtaking even when it's cloudy.
