Sunday walk - birdz

After a cold spell warm weather returns making for a pleasant Sunday stroll. The birds are out in force with almost too many species to photograph. Only the kingfisher is absent today, otherwise I am treated to a variety of different birds from small finches to larger blackbirds. The highlight must be this Javan pond heron and the woodpecker below. The mystery bird from last week may have been a Chinese Pond Heron. I was surprised to discover in my collection of photos a solitary Oyster-catcher headed inland.

Javan Pond Heron, nice shot pity about the tree branch.

Pygmy Woodpecker possibly.

Black Drongo possibly diving for an insect.

Frequently seen dragonfly.
